Note: you will be taken to a different website. I plan on eventually moving all my older blogs to this site.
Our first adventure! Nice – lifestyles of the rich and famous… on steroids! We lived in the heart of Nice and were just 1 block from the sea. We visited lots of places and even walked along the Monaco Grand Prix race route. It was a great first trip and we learned a lot like the importance of a fresh baguette every morning.
WOW! The eternal City, so much to see. We spent an entire month in Rome (living in the Jewish Ghetto) and still didn’t get to see everything we wanted to! We also did a few day trips and on one of them Susie got to meet a movie star. I guess you will have to read the blog to find out what happened. PLUS, we got to see the Pope! .
Nice – Take 2. This time we stayed just outside of Nice in Villefranche-sur-Mer. Our apartment was awesome! We were located half way up a small mountain and had spectacular views of the harbor from every room. Photo above was taken from our small porch. We did day trips to Eze, Monaco, Cannes and many other places.
The land of tapas, flamenco dancing and incredible beaches! We rented an apartment owned by a building contractor – it was sweet! We lived the Gràcia district of Barcelona which still retains a village feel with lots of quirky independent shops, cosy cafes and beautiful parks to visit.
Yeah, this is our third time in Nice – I guess you might say we like it here. This year we got a great apartment in the middle of Nice, just 3 blocks from the beach. As an added bonus, Euro 2016 (big soccer tournament in Europe) was going on and Nice was one of the host cities. Lots of fun!
This year we tried something different and stayed in the USA. We drove to Sedona, AZ and followed historic Route 66 for much of the way, visiting historic sites like the Amazing Vacuum Museum, Uranus Fudge Shop, and Cadilac Ranch. While in Sedona we got to experience lots of weirdness.
Susie found some really cheap airfares to Amsterdam so we spent 10 days in the land of windmills, tulips, and dope 🙂 We found a great apartment overlooking one of the canals and a short walk to all the historic places to visit. We took a couple of day trips to neighboring villages and towns.
